Come and enjoy a unique training experience aboard the ‘Mabel Alice’ [an ex-RNLI 52’ Arun Class lifeboat] where your team will enjoy:-

• A half hour guided tour of the boat
• A two hour ‘taster module’ on either Project Management, Risk Management or Communication Skills, delivered as a ‘Powerpoint’ presentation with their own individual notes in the ‘Survivor Cabin’ below decks and built around ‘the Arun Experience’ project itself.
• A buffet lunch
• An exhilarating 2 hour, 19 knot trip aboard the ‘Mabel Alice’ in the Bristol Channel and River Severn areas!

As an example, the Project Management module will cover:-

• Confirming the Project’s objective[s], understanding what ‘drives’ the project, the risks involved, making sure a Business Case has been created that delivers the benefits required and that the project is viable at the outset!
• Putting in place a plan that will deliver the key products [outputs] to achieve the objective[s], develop and delegate the activities required to the Project Team members, arriving at a known starting date and having projected an agreed estimated closure date on a timed schedule.
• Seeing how the project is managed, monitored and controlled against the approved plan.
• Understand the requirement of a controlled closure to the project, enabling the deliverance of the agreed benefits envisaged by the Organisation!

These modules will be delivered through a ‘Powerpoint’ slide presentation and notes by a highly experienced Project Management trainer, who regularly trains staff in the Cabinet Office, Home Office, HM Treasury, M.O.D. and the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills, as well as the N.H.S. and OfWat.
Those attending will leave with a basic understanding of Project Management structure, its components, processes and techniques, as well as being given the generic meaning of the sometimes perplexing jargon used in Project Management. [PRINCE2 methodology will be the foundation – but applied in a very practical way!!]
